Nelson is the true voice of Chenard, speaking through the prism of Gainsbourg's work. In Gainsbourg there's everything, poetry, humour, provocation, hopelessness, love, sex, alcohol... What was unconciously chosen can be sum up by the title of Nelson's album, out on 12 october 2005.

The name Nelson was chosen in reference to Serge Gainsbourg's masterpiece, Melody Nelson (1971).

Chenard Walcker is a French samplecore artist layering large slabs of pop music, obscure funk, soundtracks, etc. The site offers many albums worth of material as free downloads, as an anti-copyright stance. He also publishes the Free Sample Zone, which is all his material under several monikers, and mostly overlaps the releases under the first link.
